Marketplace FAQ
BBBS Agency FAQs –
Choosing Your Service Option
Foley Fractional HR Solutions for nonprofit employers. The only provider that integrates experienced HR professionals and seasoned employment lawyers — in every engagement, from day one.
What are the five options?
The Firm offers 5 marketplace fixed-fee options for BBBS agencies:
- Employment Counsel On-Call™ Triage Service (virtual in-house employment counsel level of protection);
- the Workplace Essentials Program (five foundational services, bundled and significantly discounted);
- A la Carte (select and build what you need from a selection of service options);
- the HR Function Outsourcing Program (outsourcing of HR function operation, oversight, and risk management); and
- Do It Yourself HR (templates, and toolkits — including notices, policies, sample letters, flow charts — that you implement plus monthly and quarterly employment news updates at a significant discount).
How do I know which option is right for my agency?
If you need help with a specific one or a few projects or issues — a handbook, an audit, a toolkit — the A la Carte menu lets you select exactly those services at BBBS-discounted fixed fees.
If you want to know whether your day-to-day decisions are compliant with employment laws — or if you’re looking to explore viable options — the Employment Counsel On-Call™ Triage Service puts you in direct contact with our seasoned lawyers when you need them.
If you want the core HR structure and employment law protection all employers need for one fixed monthly fee, the Workplace Essentials Program bundles the four foundational services at a further discount.
If your agency needs to elevate and expand its current HR function — with day-to-day support across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits, and reporting — the HR Function Outsourcing Program provides that, along with immediate access to both an HR professional and an employment lawyer.
If you want to implement best practices on the major HR issues and receive state and local specific updates, the Do It Yourself program is for your Agency.
How does the Employment Counsel On-Call™ Triage Service work?
Direct Access to Our Team When You Need It: This service creates a virtual in-house counsel level of protection by transforming the traditional employment counsel-client relationship from a back-end, expensive approach to a front-end, proactive, fixed fee relationship with our lawyers when you need it.
See the Employment Counsel On-Call Triage Service page for details.
What is included in the Workplace Essentials Program?
Four foundational services over a twelve-month period: Employment Counsel On-Call™ Triage Service, Core Handbook Service, Diagnostic Compliance Audit of Employment Practices, and Employment Law Compliance and HR Risk Management Templates, Toolkits, and Updates.
See the Workplace Essentials Program page for full details.
Can you provide a broader summary of the A la Carte options?
Proceeding A la Carte allows you to select precisely what your agency needs. Choose from a selection of defined proactive risk management services, or we can build another or more tailored menu to meet your team's priorities.
The defined services include: Employee Handbook Preparation and Updating Service; Employment Law Compliance state specific Hot Topics Resource document, monthly Employment Law Report with quarterly updates; various compliance, training and education programs; a comprehensive attorney guided or self-audit of employment practices and more.
What does the HR Function Outsourcing Program add?
The HR Function Outsourcing Program adds hands on support and covers the operation of the HR function itself — including recruiting and onboarding support, employee relations, compliance and employment law, benefits administration, policy and handbook support, training coordination, HRIS and reporting — plus immediate access to an HR professional and employment lawyer with no cap on utilization.
What does the Do It Yourself Program provide?
The Do It Yourself HR Program gives you the tools you need to implement best practices for compliance with Sexual Harassment, Reasonable Accommodation, Pregnancy Non-Discrimination, Protecting Personnel Information, Onboarding, and Employment Termination.
Plus, you receive a State-Specific Hot Topics Resource Document, quarterly email updates on federal, state and local law changes and landmark court decisions and the Firm's monthly Employment Law Corner Report.
What does each option cost?
Our A la Carte services each carry individual BBBS-discounted fixed fees listed on the Menu of Services. Each of the other four programs are provided over a twelve (12) month period for a fixed monthly fee that is determined by the size of your particular agency’s workforce.
You can find detailed pricing right on each program page:
Can we start with one option and change later?
Except for the A la Carte services, each option is designed to provide 12 months of support. Renewing a current service or changing to a new option after 12 months is simple.
How do we get started?
Getting started is very easy. The Executive Director contacts Mike Foley at mike@foleylawpractice.com or by calling 844-204-0505. Mike will answer any questions you have, then the ED and Mike will confirm the terms of the engagement via email. Payment is by ACH which we can set up with you.
What if we need something not covered by these options?
We will build a service for you — call (844) 204-0505 or email questions@foleylawpractice.com. Engagements outside the five fixed-fee options are billed at the Firm's 2026 hourly rates.
